With profound sadness, we share the passing of artist Elma Eidse Neufeld, on April 12, 2026 in Medicine Hat Alberta, following a brief battle with pancreatic cancer.
Many came to know Elma through the beauty of her artwork — work created with patience, reflection, and a remarkable attentiveness to the world around her. Through her layered creations, she offered glimpses of a way of seeing that invited pause, wonder, and a deeper appreciation for the textures of life.
For decades, Elma poured herself into her creative practice, quietly shaping a body of work marked by thoughtfulness and depth. The beauty she leaves behind in her art remains a lasting reflection of both her dynamic and contemplative spirit.
